Overview
In 2019, the University of Pennsylvania Graduate School of Education celebrated the 10th anniversary of the Milken-Penn GSE Education Business Plan Competition (EBPC). The EBPC is widely recognized as the most prestigious and well-funded competition dedicated to advancing innovation in education.
Since its inception, the competition has supported entrepreneurs and organizations developing solutions that address systemic inequities in education, helping launch ventures that have impacted learners and educators around the world.
To commemorate this milestone, Penn GSE sought a visual identity that honored the competition's first decade while reinforcing its reputation as a catalyst for educational innovation and social impact.
Challenge
Create a distinctive anniversary brand that honored a decade of impact while maintaining alignment with the established Milken-Penn GSE identity. The design needed to engage a diverse audience of educators, entrepreneurs, investors, and university leaders across both print and digital platforms.
Solution
I developed the GSEx10 anniversary branding system, creating a modern visual identity that celebrated the competition's legacy and future impact. The branding was applied across key event materials, including:
Anniversary event branding
PowerPoint presentation template
Commemorative keepsake magazine template

Impact
The GSEx10 identity provided a consistent visual experience throughout the anniversary celebration, helping showcase ten years of innovation, entrepreneurship, and educational impact while elevating the event's overall presentation and storytelling.
